CSI collides with The Time Machine when Chicago Police Lieutenant Sophia Brooks and FBI Special Agent Lucian Ducane investigate a series of leads tracking down the anonymous phone tipster who thwarts an attack on the President of the United States. The trail of suspects is slim and bizarre, coming to dead ends. Nothing adds up, even when everything points to a carefree bar back Kimberly Zuniga.
 
Kim works undercover as a waitress, doling out hot wings, cold beer and good cheer. Her mission: Warn the FBI. Foil terrorist. Stoically deal with what comes working in a scantily uniform. Only the laws of time and intrepid law officers hold her back.
 
Behind the scenes, one group follows through on their ominous plan. Another monitors and collects data. Under the radar, a lone wolf seeks his destiny. Unaware, Lucian and Brooks zero in on Kim. If she fails in her mission, she destroys their future. If she succeeds, she destroys her own.
